Greyhounds as Pets WA is excited to join the Great Global Greyhound Walk (GGGW) movement and host our first GGGW in 2024.
Great Global Greyhound Walks (GGGW) are held worldwide every year, this year falling on Sunday September 29. GGGWs encourage Sighthound owners to join together for a social stroll, with the aim for over 12,000 sighthounds to be walking across the globe on the same day.
Greyhounds as Pets WA (GAP) will be hosting our own walk at Neil McDougall Park in Como from 9.30am. The shady, picturesque park is centrally located, just 15 minutes south of Perth.
The hosted walk, leaving around 9.30am will include short (approx. 750m) and longer (approx. 1.3km) options to accommodate for a variety of ‘hounds. The walk is open to greyhounds and all Sighthound breeds. The public are welcome to attend and chat to the GAP team and greyhound adopters.
GAP looks forward to celebrating what fabulous pets greyhounds are on what is sure to be a great morning!
Hi team! Do we have to register for the GGGW or just turn up?! Thankyou!
Hi Farrah, no need to pre-register, we will have registrations on the day so we can count the total number of attendees. We look forward to seeing you and Archi!
Hi, how much is the registration fee for the great global greyhound walk please?
Hi Jess, thanks for your interest in attending. There is no registration fee, it’s a free event.
