Sweet little Allara is ready to be spoilt with scritches and toys in her forever home. This charming girl loves to greet you with big wiggles before begging for some good ear scritches (her favourite). Allara would do best in a home with medium or larger canines to show her the ropes of pet life. Although she is gentle and polite to all people, Allara would do best in a home where all humans are nine years old or older. She is a hound that prefers gentle play and scratches rather than too many hugs or overly exuberant handling. Allara loves playtime with her humans and would be thrilled to chase after a toy, especially if it squeaks! Allara loves company and her people but could stay home alone for up to three hours at a time. This time could be extended if she had a canine buddy to keep her company. True to her greyhound nature, Allara enjoys a couple of leisurely 20-minute strolls through the neighborhood each day. Afterwards, she will happily settle beside you for some quiet time or with her toys in a sunny spot. Allara has an eye condition called Pannus, which is treated with daily eye drops and doesn’t affect her quality of life.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys a balanced mix of playtime and calm relaxation, Allara will be the perfect addition to your home.

Allara Foster Update | Sweet social Allara is ready to wiggle and wag into her forever home

Allara has wrapped her foster humans’ hearts around her paws with her gentle, calm, and affectionate personality. Her sweet and easy-going nature will no doubt make her a beloved companion in her forever home.

According to her foster humans, Allara has been a perfect house guest from the moment she arrived. Allara has been successfully toilet trained, comfortably been left home alone for up to three hours, and “walks very nicely with a slack lead”. Allara is even getting the hang of recalling to both her name and a whistle! Allara would love to join a social home where she can continue to get plenty of scratches from new people she meets when out and about.

Allara has proven that she is a great balance of play and calm. She likes the “occasional zoomies” when you throw a toy but Allara’s foster humans summarise her as “overall very easy going and relaxed”. She will happily curl up next to you for the majority of the day.

Allara loves to wiggle on her back for tummy pats, and according to her foster humans, if you pull away to quickly, she will start waving her paws in the air to pull you back! How cute! Allara’s foster humans would also like her future family to know that that her favourite treats are the “Honey Crunch Banana Dog Cookies” by the brand Billy + Margot, found at Petbarn.

To set Allara up for success, his forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
