Na na na na na na na na Batman!
No need to light up the bat-signal, Batman is ready to swoop into your life and save you…from boredom! This playful and outgoing hound is on a mission to add excitement, play and laughter into your life. Unlike his comic book namesake, Batman has no issues being part of a team. He would be happy to share his lair with a medium or larger sized canine accomplice. The human sidekicks in Batman’s life should be 14 years old or older. He sometimes forgets that his size and excitement for life can be a little much for smaller humans. You won’t find Batman brooding in the darkness when alone as he can spend up to six hours solo happily keeping himself entertained with toys. If you have a ball or toy on your utility belt, Batman will be delighted to zoom after it. Every hero needs to protect his city and Batman is no exception. He would love a 20-minute patrol around the neighbourhood before returning home and recharging for his next mission. Darkness may not be your ally, but Batman sure is!
Batman Foster Update | Batman is ready to swoop into his BatCave
Batman has been the absolute bestest boy in his foster home! He is acing many aspects of pet life and has integrated well into his new routine. Batman has been boarding with ex DRH greyhound Jumanji, and they have gotten along like two playful peas in a pod! Batman has adjusted perfectly to Jumanji’s boundaries, play style, and chill moments. He has a good balance of play and rest. Batman has successfully been toilet trained, recalling to his name, staying home with his foster brother for up to six hours, and walking on leash (although he does like a bit of a zigzaggy sniff).
To set Batman up for success, his forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ Medium or large playful dog companion(s)
✅ A social and active household
✅ Family members 14 years or older
He has even done well with the outdoor chooks, his foster human telling us that Batman is “quite good with the chooks, they like to bonk him on the nose”. Batman’s social nature goes past medium/large dogs and chickens, he is yet to meet a person he does not like on his walks, his foster humans describing it as “he’s so friendly, playful and always in a good mood!”. Batman has loved meeting new people, soaking in as much attention, pats, and smooches he can get.
His foster humans house and garden have become a personal zoomie race track. He loves to race around, sometimes with his foster brother in tow, before collapsing onto his mat dramatically ready for hard-earned scritches. Perhaps the only thing Batman loves more than zoomies are toys. Fluffy, bouncy, noisy, he loves it. He even has the habit of collecting them and creating a neat pile on his bed to pick from at his leisure.
Batman’s foster humans have ended his update with a glowing review, telling us “he’s an amazing dog and I know he will bring immense joy to the right family. He’s strong and tough but with a heart of gold.”
If you’re looking for a slightly wonky bundle of joy that is 50% zoomies, 50% play, and 100% love, Batman is your guy.
