Nixon is a happy go-lucky hound who loves life and everything in it to the fullest. He just adores people, dogs, toys, treats, and everything that comes his way. Nixon would be delighted to join a medium or larger sized dog who would play with him. Nixon has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Although Nixon is a big people lovin’, he would do best in a home where all humans are nine years old or older. His excited zoomies and play can be a bit much for smaller humans. Nixon would love love love if his humans would throw a ball for him to zoom after. With a good toy or chew available, Nixon is comfortable staying home alone for more than six hours at a time. In addition to his play sessions, Nixon is content with one or two 20-minute walks through the neighbourhood, where he is sure to say hello to everything and everyone along the way.

Nixon Foster Update | Nixon is ready to be the bestest boy for his furever home
Nixon has proven himself to be nothing but a polite gentleman and social butterfly during his time in foster care. He is wonderfully polite and friendly with everyone he meets, both human and canine. Nixon has even formed a special bond with three border collies he regularly sees, showing off his easy to get along with nature.
Nixon has impressed his foster human’s with his ability to adapt into their routine and home. He is perfectly content chilling alone at home while his humans work full time hours, happy to snooze the day away or chew on a treat. Nixon’s foster humans have also let us know that he is a dream when it comes to walkies. He is unfazed by cars, bikes, trucks, and other dogs. He does however, love giving a waggy hello to every person he meets!
Nixon’s foster family has also shared that his future forever home should be well stocked with rubber chews and soft teddies as they are Nixon’s FAVOURITE to throw around and zoom after. Despite Nixon’s playful bursts, his foster humans say that he is “playful but relaxed and not demanding”, this gentleman reads the room well and knows just what his humans need.
To set Nixon up for success, his forever and foster homes would have similar environments, and include;
