Zen is a playful, loyal, and sweet greyhound with a lot of potential. Through our team and foster carer he has blossomed into a silly, social, and loyal companion. Zen would be happiest as the only dog or with a confident fellow greyhound to help him navigate the ropes of his new life. Humans in the home should be nine years old or older and understand that he is more about bonding through toys and play than hugs and smooches. If you enjoy tossing a ball or soft toy, Zen will quickly become your bestest buddy and show you the happy-go-lucky pup he can be. Zen is perfectly content in his own company and is happy to stay home alone for more than six hours at a time, especially if he has a good chew toy. Zen is sure to be by your side, quietly and curiously keeping watch over whatever you’re up to with a waggy tail.

If you’re looking for a loving and loyal companion who’s more of a “silent observer” (unless there are toys), Zen may be just the right fit for you.

Zen Foster Update | Zen is ready to be find his furever home

Zen has completed his four weeks of foster care and is ready to find his forever home, where he promises to be the perfect loyal companion by your side.

In his time in foster care, Zen has adapted and aced many aspects of pet life! He has successfully understood toilet training and has been often left alone for full-time hours with no issues. Zen absolutely loves his daily walks out and about, and his leash manners have improved dramatically (although he does still enjoys a little zigzag sniff now and then). Zen has also made a friend in a poodle, and the two enjoy walking together and sharing their time outdoors.

Zen would love to join a home that balances play, exercise and relaxation as well as he does. Like a typical greyhound, Zen is about short bursts of energy and after a few rounds of fetch or zoomies, he is ready to crash into his dog bed.

To set Zen up for success, his forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;

✅ Solo hound, but opportunities for walking buddies

✅ Calm and independent household

✅ All family members nine years old or older
